It won`t always be this way

“We suffer not because of the reality itself, but because we wanted to see it”

When the frustration is not the end but the beginning

Disappointment is not just pain. This is a moment of meeting with reality. You seem to live in your own imaginary world, with your eyes, closed dreams and expectations, and then open them. And you see: the world is different. Not always worse, but not exactly what you imagined.

It can be stress for the emotional system: anger, devastation, confusion. In psychology, this is called emotional burnout, a break of expectations, or simply – disappointment.

Expectations and reality: how to accept otherness

Such moments can be a powerful impulse for internal changes. Yes, the pain of disappointment in the act of a dear person is able to destroy … But at the same time – it opens the way to a deeper understanding of yourself, to rethinking values.

This is the beginning of the development of emotional intelligence. When we do not run away from emotions, but we explore them. When we begin to see in others not a projection of ourselves, but a living person with his otherness.

Jung wrote that the culmination of this development is wisdom – as the ability to accept being, others and himself. This is psychological maturity.

The world is not your scenario. But your path

We want everything to meet our expectations. To make the partner know exactly what to say and when to hug. To make life soft as a well -written script. But this scenario never works in reality.

The world is different. Live. Unpredictable. And this is its value.

When we accept non -ideality – our other relationships – we get freedom. And then we finally see the world through the eyes of an adult. Without pink glasses, but with an open heart.

And who knows what you need?

There is only one person who is able to know, understand and support you-it is you/yourself.

This inner figure – a caring, attentive, capable of support – can and should be grown in yourself. Learn how to talk about your needs, accept them, ask for help. Allow yourself to live, feel, be.

If you hurt – it’s not forever

If you hurt in your soul, it’s not forever. In such moments, it is especially important to find internal resistance and afford to feel.

Psychological maturity is born just when we honestly look into the eyes of our pain.

You may be disappointed or confused. Disappointment is not a defeat. It’s a transition.

The way to yourself. To life. To a new reality.

And remember:

This will not always be.
